QA LEVEL 3 MENTAL HEALTH SKILLS FOR MANAGERS
Managers who are able to support the mental health of their teams will encourage employees to thrive, increasing talent retention. Providing this training to everyone with people management responsibilities will ensure a consistent approach to mental health and wellbeing across teams and departments, promoting healthy performance throughout the whole organisation.
The British Safety Council recommends “all line managers/heads of departments must be appropriately trained in mental health awareness and the relevant support mechanisms, so they have the confidence to communicate with employees with care and sensitivity.”

Format
- 6 hour course delivered in person at a location of your choice.
- Immersive live training session, led by an experienced associate trainer.
- Opportunities to practice embedding their skills through group activities and discussions to share best practice.
- The course can be delivered to a maximum of 12 people to allow for rich discussion.

For best long term results we recommend a follow up training after 3 months which could be managed online and would last 90 minutes. The training is optional but will serve as a way of further embedding what the team learned in the initial session and support any difficulties they are having when implementing the concepts in real life situations.
Refresher courses to maintain managerial skills are recommended every 12 months.
